Chocolate Covered Strawberry

Anyone who loves chocolate and loves strawberries almost certainly loves the decadent taste of a chocolate covered strawberry. People of all ages enjoy this treat. It is most popularly eaten on Valentine’s Day accompanied by a bottle of fine champagne. Although, you don’t really need a special occasion to eat one.
Various chocolates are used in the production of chocolate covered strawberries. You can use bittersweet, semisweet, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or even white chocolate. You are only limited by your imagination and your chocolate preferences.
Making your own chocolate covered strawberries is simple, as long as you know a few tricks. Strawberries can easily spoil when introduced to even the smallest amount of moisture. So, it is quite important that you use strawberries that are completely dry. Melting the chocolate can be easy. Either melt it in a plastic bowl on medium power in the microwave, or use a double boiler. Either method should be done slowly, and you should stir often to ensure a smooth product.

1 C Chocolate of Your Choice
Cover a baking sheet with a layer of wax paper or aluminum foil.
Thoroughly wash the strawberries, and completely dry them using paper towels.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler.
Hold one strawberry by the stalk and dip it gently into the chocolate.
Place the dipped strawberry on the baking sheet. Continue until you have dipped each strawberry.
Allow the chocolate to set. Once it has, you can immediately eat them, or store them in a refrigerator for up to four hours.
Hint: use different types of chocolates for a variety of different chocolate covered strawberries.
